In this second album the music is particularly enkindled by the imaginaries and speculative fictions on Ibelisse's postcolonial and deeply spiritual Andean background. Where pas-present-future, pain-hope, struggle-joy, landscape-ritual and the constant contradictory dichotomies become an immense source inspiration. By daring to listen to the many still resonating human and more-than-human voices.

This album was born from a collection of various sonic fascinations. The confluence of us as artists has taken us on a ride that assembles our broad musical language: from Pop to Jazz, from noise to andean folk music, from electronic music to trance. This sonic art work signals these multiplicity of genres, and attempts to confluence them in a meeting point, namely as various songs.

PRESS

"Musically I think it's actually quite original and unpredictable what they're putting down here. If I had to catch it in references, I think of a whimsical mix of Earwig, Three Mile Pilot, Lisa Germano, Lhasa De Sela, Luzmila Carpio, Sonic Youth, Massive Attack and Oi Va Voi. No, that doesn't make sense, I'll admit that, but hearing is believing. And then we can talk nice about silver, but this group just has gold in their hand. What a wonderful debut!" Jan Willem Broek - 28 August 2022 De Subjectivisten

"...Ibelisse's singing followed a path of unexpected twists and turns, accompanied by irregular time signatures that sounded natural rather than disruptive. One moment the music was unruly and the next quietly melodic. Silverbones is a natural fusion of different genres that never bite each other. Progressive rock, electronica, jazz (including drum solo), noise and Brazilian music flow smoothly into one another. Adventurous festivals that need an ideal band this season to round out their programming need look no further."   Gert Verbeek - 7 July 2022 SITP Paradiso Album Release Show

"It is a stellar journey, surprising... It enters your veins like an almost shamanic journey, attracting a balance between all people and all beings, visible and invisible. It asks you to close your eyes and travel without moving." Tito Ruiz - 22 August  2022 Sonidos de acá - Bolivia

"...And the result is wonderfully different. We hear fragments of dark jazz, noise and electro, with even Andean folk elements incorporated. Just listen to dark noise escapades like Vessel or Al Cautiverio, in which witty guitar work is combined with dark jazz undertones, crawling through the body. Or the dark, almost trip-hop-like passages of Altiplano and Tinku, steadily compelling and hallucinatory."   Never Mind The Hype - 10 January 2022 Tape Release
